First developed in the 1970s, the Great Hills neighborhood in Northwest Austin has grown significantly over the decades.
The neighborhood is located near the intersection of Loop 360 and Highway 183, also nearby access to Loop 1. Homes built in this area vary from 1970s to 2000s and come in many sizes, and home prices ranged from the $200,000s to the $700,000s, which can accommodate a variety of budgets. Many families, students and young professionals are living in the Great Hills neighborhood, partly due to the fact that there are now many apartment complexes in this area.
Within the community is the popular Great Hills Country Club, which offers swimming, tennis, and golf amongst beautiful views and valleys. Austin Hills Park is also in the neighborhood and has a nature trail that can be used for hiking. You can also find dozens upon dozens of shops and restaurants, coffee shops, and two movie theaters in this area.
